Dr. Ogg’s Integrative House Calls
Proudly providing care rarely available to dogs & cats.
Welcome to an open-minded, comprehensive veterinary experience that is customized for you and your pet in the comfort of your own home. I can’t wait to start this journey with you!
Sometimes traditional medicine is the way to go, but there’s so much more to explore.
I have over 11 years of experience in traditional medicine, including general practice, emergency, house call, and hospice. I’m also board certified in preventative medicine and have extensive experience in soft tissue surgery. I’ll always share your traditional medical options, and I’ll let you know when they’re the safest and most effective options for your pet.
As I’ve grown as a vet, I’ve discovered integrative and complementary treatments that can change everything for you and your pet. You deserve access to that knowledge! I want you to receive far more than standard medications and generic supplements. I’d be honored to use my training in massage, botanical medicine, reiki, and shamanism to benefit your furry loved ones.
I’m honored to serve dogs, cats, and their guardians in these areas of northeastern Illinois: Shorewood, Plainfield, Joliet, Minooka, Channahon, Morris, Lockport, Crest Hill, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, and New Lenox.
why i serve through house calls
During home visits, I get a whole picture of your pets, their environment, and how they behave and react in their environment. That makes a world of difference when it comes to the effectiveness of any treatment plan.
I practice in an open, non-judgemental way, which requires time and patience. I don’t want to rush and I don’t want you to feel rushed. Quite the opposite! I want you to feel empowered and confident when it comes to your pet’s health. That means you should never feel pressured or dismissed.
The goal of my approach is to pave the way for a happier, closer bond between you and your pet while optimizing both of your stress levels and your pet’s health. Together, we can do this!

my approach to your pet's nutrition
I’d love to learn about your pet’s diet so we can optimize it together. That starts with discussing your pet’s weight and appropriate calorie intake. Then we evaluate your pet’s food (is it appropriate for life stage, activity level, health goals), and how much they are eating. If they’re eating a raw or homemade diet, we’ll discuss how to evaluate if it is nutritionally complete, along with safe handling and storage.

how do plant-based remedies help pets?
Plant-based remedies can offer a wide range of benefits for our pets, from supporting overall wellness to assisting during cancer treatment—and much more in between. This approach provides an additional tool for helping our pets in ways that traditional Western medicine may not always address.

Reiki:
healing with energy and love
“Reiki is love, Love is wholeness, Wholeness is balance, Balance is well-being, Well-being is freedom from disease.” —Dr. Mikao Usui
Reiki can be seamlessly integrated with other healing practices, such as Shamanic energy work, medical massage, and laser therapy, to enhance its benefits.

Kind and comforting:
The healing touch of medical massage
Medical massage differs from the traditional “spa” massage many are familiar with in that it begins with a thorough evaluation and diagnosis.
how do you evaluate my pet?
My approach starts by observing your pet’s movement at a slow pace, looking for any areas where they may not be moving as freely or comfortably as they should. From there, I assess their entire musculoskeletal system and even examine their coat, as the body often provides valuable external clues—whether it’s the condition of their fur or their range of motion in their neck and limbs.
–
what's the massage like?
Once I identify the areas that may be causing discomfort or restriction, I use a range of massage techniques to help restore the muscles and connective tissues to their natural, healthy state.

kind words from beautiful humans
“You give me hope”
“After 15 + years in the field, I was convinced vets who practiced good medicine were pushed out and kept quiet. You give me hope it could change and gave me a sliver of light by which I may find my way in one day.”
— Dr. Sarah Chatwell-Nixon, colleague
“Truly one of a kind”

Her humor is quick and witty, lighting up any room and bringing laughter wherever she goes. I feel incredibly lucky to have met her; she truly is one of a kind.”
— Matt B., happy client
“so knowledgeable”
“As a fellow veterinarian, I can say that Tai’s dedication to learning is truly exceptional. She is so knowledgable and passionate about integrative medicine… it’s infectious! I wish we lived closer so she could be my second opinion for my kitty when I need one.”
